The CAC Boomerang Mk. II was an Australian single-seat monoplane fighter; an updated version of the Boomerang Mk.I. The Boomerang Mk. II is a Premium Tier 4 plane in the British line, costing 800 Goldeneagle. The Mk. II provides a 60% reward plus a 100% experience bonus.

Characteristics

This single-engine monoplane, produced in Australia, was a remake of the CAC Wirraway trainer. It was armed with two 20mm cannons and four 7.7mm machine guns. The plane had good speed and handling, especially at low altitudes.

After the first batch of Boomerang Mk.I planes (also known as CA-12s) was completed, a CA-13 or Mk.II modification was released, which had a few minor changes: to improve the manageability of the rudders and ailerons, the fabric in their construction was replaced with duralumin, and the hydraulic actuators, which often failed to reload weapons, were replaced with more reliable mechanical ones. In addition, the wings were sheathed with plywood instead of duralumin, and the wing tips were replaced with wooden ones. The shape of the exhaust pipe was changed to the characteristic Beaufort shape. Lastly, a signal pistol with eight rounds was placed in the cockpit, and an external rear-view mirror was set up for the pilot.

All in all, 95 Boomerang Mk.IIs were produced.
