History
The P-51 had amazing history! It earned the rank of being the top American fighter of the war. The P-51 fixed many problems. It fixed modern Fw-190s and Bf-109s by killing them. It first was made in 1940. The first variant was the Mustang MK Ia. It had one problem: its cockpit. There was a huge blind spot behind the pilot, causing the Mustang MK Ia to be downed. Thats when the "Bubble cockpit" came into action. A new variant of P-51 was born: The P-51D.
